Jim Rooney is a former public health sanitarian who realized that to be more productive in his role as an environmental regulator and consultant, he would have to learn to be skilled with people. The switch from regulator to communicator began in 1985 with the establishment of People Smart Tools, and later its municipal specialty, City Manager Solutions. Mr. Rooney and his wife of 39 years, R.J., have provided personal skills training, leadership development, and coaching to thousands. They have a passion for helping businesses and cities achieve success in their work environment by understanding relationship dynamics. He is a professional member of the National Speakers Association. He is a graduate of Western State College with a B.S. in Biology (psychology minor) and an M.A. in Science. He has three certifications from Target Training International: Certified Professional Behavior Analyst, Certified Professional Motivation Analyst, and the TriMetrix HD™ coaching and employee selection designations. These certifications require training updates before renewal every two years. He is the author of 107 Proven Workplace Relationship Strategies, 5 Steps to Creating a Customer Stampede, and Applying Reverse Logic in Business Operations.
