00:00:582014 Creating Community Awards

The Board of Commissioners and the Cobb Community Relations Council recently honored nominees and winners of the 2014 Creating Community Awards. County Commissioners presented awards to winners from each of the four commissioner districts. About 20 groups or individuals were nominated this year. Award recipients were chosen by an evaluation council made up of business leaders, representatives from local universities and members of the Marietta Housing Authority. The winners were: SafePath Children’s Advocacy Center and Telemundo, Georgia Community Support and Solutions Art & Food, The Children’s Bilingual Theater and Albert McRae III.  Sonny Park won the chairman’s award for his work initiating the sister city program that has seen success in Cobb.
