Obermann Afternoons is an informal speaker series, sponsored by the Obermann Center for Advanced Studies, featuring the work of UI faculty and research staff, often highlighting issues of current importance. This program features a presentation entitled, 'Medical Narratives' featuring members of the Narrative in the Clinic and the Classroom Working Group Pat Dolan, Rachel Williams, & Lindell Joseph. How do instructors and clinicians use narrative to educate and heal? The presenters build on last spring's Obermann Working Symposium on the Health Humanities, sharing how they use narrative to educate undergraduate and professional students, and foster healing in their clinics.
