Approval/authorization to accept grant funds authorized with the annual contract for July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023 from the Atlanta Regional Commission to be approved by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners. This annual contract will provide reimbursement for the eligible expenses incurred for senior services programs in Gwinnett County for the period of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The grant is funded through federal and state funds, with a required local match of $138,958.97 for a total contract amount of $2,174,757.65. The match requirement will be funded through the Health and Human Services Senior Services General Fund. Adjustments amount to an increase of assessed value in the amount of $245,790.00, a decrease in assessed value of $16,406,080.00 for a net decrease of $16,160,290.00 for tax years 2016 through 2021. Approval for the Sheriff to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with the United Way of Greater Atlanta to provide homeless individuals released from the Gwinnett County jail with shelter, substance abuse treatment, job skills training, crime prevention education, and case management assistance as an overall collaborative effort to reduce recidivism. Funding provided to the United Way of Greater Atlanta in the amount of $225,000.00 for FY 2022. Subject to approval as to form by the Law Department.

This agreement involves the purchase of 10.245 acres of fee simple right of way, 1,444.86 linear feet of limited access rights, and 14,484.48 square feet of temporary driveway easement at a cost of $450,000.00.
